Your clock uses one of the 89 series movements, which was made up until the mid s, I believe. The movement is described as being used in, among other models, in the "cheap wood" series Seth Thomas catalog's words, not mine.
In the earlier days, the word "cheap" was not disparaging in any way, as it would more relate to the word "affordable" in today's language. Your clock has applied brass ornamentation, which I think would be an upgrade from the less expensive incised gold paint ornamentation of the Sussex model.
